What You Need For each Jingler
  • 1 empty NESTLÉ JUICY JUICE box
  • Utility knife
  • 1 craft stick
  • Construction paper (suggested colors: aqua and royal blue, pink and yellow)
  • Craft glue stick
  • Cellophane tape
  • 4 small jingle bells
How To Do It
  • Print out the juice box wrapping template.
  • (PARENTS ONLY) Use a utility knife to cut an opening in the top of the juice box.
  • Place 4 small jingle bells inside and tape the top shut.
  • Use the template to cut out the construction paper wrapper for the box.
  • Wrap the box with the colored construction paper and secure with cellophane tape.
  • (PARENTS ONLY) Use a utility knife to make a slit the width of the craft stick in the bottom of the box (opposite end that you opened to insert the jingle bells).
  • Insert one third of the stick into the slit and secure by applying craft glue around the stick where it meets the box. This is the Jingler's handle.
  • Now decorate the outside of the box. Use the decorative shapes template as a pattern. (See the image for decorating suggestions)
Tips
  • You can also use a craft glue gun to add jingle bells to the outside of the juice box.
Follow-Up Fun
  • Homemade musical instruments are a wonderful way to introduce your child to sensory/motor learning. Click on Fun Family Music Night for additional instrument suggestions.
