Expert Advice for Kindergarten

My son won't drink water. He likes fruit juice and lemonade. (We don't offer him soda)

- Lisa H., Durham, NC

Dr. Yinka Davies, Pediatrician, Mother of Two, says:

Four to six oz. per day of fruit juice is plenty. If your child refuses to drink water,  be sure to dilute the fruit juice down. Many times you can get away with 2 oz. of juice and 4 oz. of water to make the juice last a little longer. Over time continue to dilute down the juice and increase the water. Eventually you will be able to switch him over to just water.
